FLUIDS & FLUSHES

KEEP IT
FLOWING.

Your vehicle depends on clean, properly maintained fluids to lubricate, cool, protect and transfer power throughout the vehicle. We inspect fluid condition and recommend service when needed.

WHY FLUIDS MATTER

Fluids perform different jobs throughout your vehicle. Some lubricate moving components, some transfer hydraulic pressure, while others remove heat and protect against corrosion.

VEHICLE FLUIDS / 01

MORE THAN
JUST OIL.

01
ENGINE

ENGINE OIL

Engine oil lubricates internal engine components, helps reduce friction and carries heat away from critical areas.

02
COOLING SYSTEM

ENGINE COOLANT

Coolant helps control engine temperature and protects the cooling system against freezing and corrosion.

03
BRAKING SYSTEM

BRAKE FLUID

Brake fluid transfers hydraulic pressure from the brake system to the components that apply the brakes.

LEVEL • CONDITION • MOISTURE • LEAKS
04
DRIVETRAIN

TRANSMISSION FLUID

Transmission fluid lubricates internal components, helps control temperature and supports proper transmission operation.

05
STEERING

POWER STEERING FLUID

On vehicles equipped with hydraulic power steering, fluid helps transfer hydraulic pressure and lubricate steering-system components.

06
DRIVETRAIN

DIFFERENTIAL FLUID

Differential lubricant protects gears and bearings inside the differential and helps manage heat created during operation.

FLUSH
WHAT IS A FLUSH? / 02

CLEAN OUT.
FRESH FLUID IN.

A fluid service or flush can involve removing old fluid, replacing fluid, inspecting the system and following the vehicle manufacturer's recommended service procedure.

Not every vehicle requires a flush at the same interval. The correct procedure depends on the vehicle and the specific fluid system being serviced.

WARNING SIGNS / 03

YOUR CAR
MAY BE
TALKING.

01

DARK OR CONTAMINATED FLUID

Fluid appearance can provide useful information during an inspection, although color alone does not determine whether service is required.

02

UNUSUAL NOISES

Whining, grinding or other unusual noises can indicate a mechanical or fluid-related concern depending on the system.

03

OVERHEATING

Cooling-system problems or low coolant can contribute to engine overheating.

04

FLUID LEAKS

Fluid found underneath the vehicle should be identified and inspected rather than simply topping off the system.

05

SHIFTING CONCERNS

Harsh, delayed or unusual transmission operation should be diagnosed before assuming a fluid service will solve the problem.
